Meters for Melanoma is held every year in May, which is Melanoma Awareness Month.

It celebrates melanoma survivors everywhere, and especially the memory of UCanRow2 Founder, Terry Smythe, who died of rare mucosal melanoma in 2018.

Meters for Melanoma was started to fulfill Terry’s mission of creating awareness of mucosal melanoma and raising funds for research, all while incorporating the sport she loved, rowing.

This year we are introducing a Bingo Card of workouts!

Purchase a card for a small donation and have fun on any Concept2 machine, be it a RowErg, SkiErg or BikeErg. Terry loved them all, so we’ve created those options for you here as well.

She also loved being outside, so we invite you to do at least one outdoor workout (Wear your sunscreen!).

Of course, ergs have wheels so feel free to take your rowing, skiing or biking workout outside, too!

Special thanks go to Rower's Dream for creating the bingo card!

Exercise is important for cancer patients and the Concept2 machines are excellent choices: They meet you where you are and take you as far as you want to go.

All proceeds from this event will support the Midwest Melanoma Partnership which is dedicated to

improving the diagnosis, treatment and long-term care of melanoma patients.
